I don't know why the pictures from my past few posts are so grainy. I haven't had time to go back and re-upload them, but I'm hoping these new pictures look better.

On the days Janel and I don't do our carpool thing, Levi and I pick up Lucy at 12:30 and occupy ourselves in Aliso Viejo until Nate gets out at 3:00. Dinosaur Park is a favorite spot (for me too: there's a Starbucks across the street). That's where we are today. L and L have the run of the whole place and are playing really nicely together.

This year's Cubbies gifts

I like to make a little something for each of the Awana Cubbies leaders at the end of the year. It's a tiring, year-long volunteer job and definitely deserves some thanks! I didn't get too super crafty this year, but I still like this gift--it's a dry-erase frame backed with fabric. Yay for another year complete!

Quick update

I've seen some general improvement in Nate the last week or two--generally happier at school, good comments from his teacher. So this week I asked him, "Do you like school a lot? Or do you like school a tiny bit? Or do you not like school at all?" He answered, "Hmm. I like school a tiny bit. Oh OK, actually I like school a lot."

Girls trip

Casey and I went down to San Diego for two nights in April for our first ever girls trip. It was wonnnnnderful. Sleeping, eating, shopping, and oh so much talking. :)

Nate is 8
