This week

Another VBS

The kids are at VBS at a different church this week. It's very different and much bigger than our church's VBS, and the kids are having a great time. This is the first time I've ever just dropped the kids off at something like this (and not been involved heavily in volunteering). It's refreshing!

We are having a lovely summer! I printed out a Monday-Friday blank schedule that I've filled in each Sunday for the week so we have some structure, and it helps make me plan something fun too. :)

(Nate is absent from these pictures because he was in the house with an earache. AND he was a bit scared of doing the sparklers.)

Filling spaces

I've been trying to decide what to do in the corner space between the TV and the couch. Since I picked up a new dresser for the kids' room, we moved their old dresser into our room and then moved my favorite Nannie and Pop antique, this wash stand, out to the living room. It works great.

Nate's school play

Last week, Nate's class presented its play, Jumping Mouse. It was so cute! The kids memorized a lot of lines. Nate and two other girls were the narrators/story tellers, dressed as Indians.
