Solid foods

I gave Nate a little bit of rice cereal last night, and this is what he thought of it:

You can start giving babies solid foods between 4 and 6 months, but you still breastfeed too. Once they start solids, you replace one nursing time with solid foods instead. Then you replace two feedings, etc., until you end up most likely nursing just once in the morning and once at night, and everything else is solid foods. The recommendation is to breastfeed for at least the first 12 months. Anyway, I planned on waiting longer to introduce solids with Nate, but since his stomach bothers him so much (it's acid reflux), I thought solids might help. He still has the "extrusion" reflex, though, which means he pushes all foreign objects out of his mouth, so I'll wait a few more weeks before I try the rice cereal again. :)
