I didn't realize I had gone so many days without a post!
I had an OB appointment on Monday, and everything looks great with the baby. I've been having a few mild contractions here and there over the past weeks, but I'm only 1 cm dilated and 50% effaced, so the baby's still pretty snug. I, on the other hand, am less and less comfortable. It's just hard getting around with 35 extra pounds hanging off my front (and sides and legs and everywhere else)!
aaaaaaaaaaa

We had Nate's appointment with the pediatric neurologist today. It was good. I'm definitely still processing all the information, so I'll probably post about it in a few days.

Ha ha ha!! You are too cute Katie!! I am so glad that I can keep you on your toes! ;) wink wink. I guess I likely wouldn't expect you to answer such a question for a few weeks following baby Varela's birth, but had to ask! :) Well, 1 centimeter!! WOO HOO! Getting somewhere! Get to walkin!! :) You excited yet? Seems like the last 12 weeks has gone by SO fast!!!
You know, I keep meaning to ask about Nate's development. Is everything OK? Just reading your post, and wondered. Oh, and speaking of doctors, and things, I had to take Zoe to the hospital peds doc today for a routine check up... she got to wear a hospital gown!! LOL! Check out my blog... there are pics. So DARN cute!!

Katie,
only 35 pounds? I think I gained that in the first trimester with Izzy! You look great!!! You are a good mommy Katie. I love hearing about Nate and you.
Thanks, Katchen! Good to hear from you!
Shealynn, everything is OK with Nate. You can read through my old blog posts starting probably around December 2006 to find out all the details, but he has just been developmentally behind on "milestones" so far.
P.S. Katchen - I can't believe it's only 35 pounds with this baby, but it's probably because I've been chasing a toddler around for all this time! I gained much much more with Nate.
I will have to catch up with the past blogs about Nate's development. My aunt and uncle were having similar development stuff with their son as well, but they just thought that he would be developing exactly like their daughter did... but, girls develop faster. Not exactly the same things as Nate, obviously. I am sure that Nate will catch up. :) Sounds like he is doing wonderful with therapy and things! Good for you staying on top of everything! I am sure that he will be great! He sounds like a fun and energetic little boy! You're going to have your hands full, but having A Lot of fun at the same time!!
Oh, and, I gained tons of weight too while being pregnant! With Angelina, 60 POUNDS!!!!!!!!!!! UGH! And, even though I was only pregnant for 7 months with Zoe, I STILL gained 40 POUNDS!!!!! Pregnancy just packs pounds onto me!! Ha ha ha! I am working out now so, hopefully I will lose ALL this extra poundage!
