Speaking of house guests, my mom is coming tomorrow! She'll be here until Friday, and I am so excited. I told Nate today that Mimi is coming over tomorrow after church, and though he probably doesn't get the "tomorrow" thing, he has been saying "Mimi" randomly throughout the day. (He says it correctly now. And speaking of that, he is saying more and more every single day, including correctly pronouncing words he has thought he was saying correctly for weeks or months.)
My cousin, Hallie, posted some devastating information about what's in some of the vaccines we give our kids. I've been thinking about posting some of what I've been learning about vaccines, so I'll try to put something together soon.

Wow! I was pretty shocked about the aborted tissue in vaccines, ESPECIALLY since Angelina just got vaccinated for Chicken Pox last week. I plan on doing *a lot* more research on this, because I am not totally convinced. Read this article from Harvard...

Not vaccinating your children can be a pretty dangerous decision for our children. There are so many diseases out there I would never want my kids to have a chance of getting. While is disagree with abortion I need to do more research. Not to mention, no school will take a child without vaccinations.
Katie, thank you for this information! It is alarming, and I plan on pursuing it! :)
Shealynn, it looks like the Harvard article confirms the other information (that the tissue is from aborted babies, or foetuses/fetuses as they call them).
Also, schools will take a child without vaccinations if you file exemptions through your state, though every state is different.
I also read that this vaccine was produced from an aborted fetus 30 years ago, but my husband and I were talking, and he said that there is no way that a place such as Planned Parenthood "sells" or gives away aborted babies for this purpose. Many times these vaccines are produced a certain way once and then can be replicated with science without having to use the same type of source. I am not sure if I am making any sense, but like I said, I am not convinced yet. I need to do more research.
I know that here in NC they will not allow children in public or private school without being vaccinated. They know that another parent will get wind of it, and make big problems for the school.
I am not trying to excuse this I hope you know that. :) Just a little shocked about it all, and honestly. I hope I find it's not true. I am so against abortion that hearing this has totally freaked me out. ;)
That's really disturbing. I'll definately be looking into it some more. We don't really feel like it's a good idea for us not to vaccinate... too much traveling to places where the diseases are prominent (there was just an outbreak in Tokyo- a bunch of kids got really sick with measels- not fun.) Maybe we will have to get them in the States where we can have choice options??? Thanks for the info.
