What cute pictures!! :) He looks like he is so full of life! Ricci is right! Our kids grow up VERY fast! Doesn't seem like 5 1/2 years ago Angelina was born or almost a year ago Zoe was born! Whoa!
Shealynn - If you read in the "What is Chickenpox Vaccine?" paragraph of your link, you will see that human embryonic lung cells and human diploid cells are used. Those human cells are the ones from an aborted baby/fetus. Embryonic = embryo. This is the same information my cousin read and used when she called Merck, and they gave her the confirmation that the lung cells are from an aborted fetus.
LOL. My mom was wrong. You were right. But, the fetuses are from 1961 and 1966. They do not take anything from fetuses currently. And, says there is no need to obtain additional fetuses for the vaccine.
Here is an article that showed up when I googled *human diploid cell cultures*.
I know this subject is very controversial, etc. Honestly, I am just trying to educate myself. Not prove anyone wrong or right. I want to find out the facts, and I can't find anywhere that the chicken pox vaccine actually *contains* aborted fetal tissue.
OK. I need to get going. I really appreciate you bringing this up. It has definitely made me think about things, although I won't withhold my kids' vaccines, because I am way too afraid of them getting really sick, I do appreciate the new knowledge I now have of these 2 vaccines. :)
There is a lot of information out there, and a lot of mis-information as well. This one turns out to be some what true for me, because the actual vaccination doesn't contain the cells.

Hey girl! :) Did more research on the chicken pox vaccine, and found that it does not contain any fetus cells. Aborted or otherwise. Link is below...

Just wanted to share it. I was relieved when my mom sent me this link. :)
you can cut and paste that link, and it will paste the entire thing into the search box.
