More sewing

I realize all the clothing items I've made recently are very summery, including this project. I'm easing into this clothing-making thing by doing beginner stuff--no sleeves! I'm hoping to do a cooler-weather dress with sleeves soon, once I can find a cute jersey/cotton stretch knit.

Anyway, here is my first piece of clothing made using a pattern. It's a reversible pinafore, and I love how it turned out. It should fit Lucy in the spring/summer as a top, especially since it has two buttons on each shoulder for adjustability. I love the fabrics!

Sew Cute, Ha! I LOVE the fabric, of course, it's green. What a cute pattern, you go miss seamstress, great job!

Very cute! So are there not many cute things to sew for boys? I guess sewing little dresses has a greater appeal than truck pants or something. :)

Ashley - I haven't felt inspired to look for any cute boy things, but that's also because all of the fabrics I like are too girly. But yeah, truck pants versus cute dress? Cute dress will win with me most any day.

I love that fabric too. :) Can't go wrong with ginger blossom by Sandi Henderson, and lime dots by Amy Butler! Very cute. ;)
