First, I turned an adult sweater that didn't fit into a fun wintery dress for Lucy. And look: sleeves!

I haven't tried it on Lucy with all the finishing touches complete (it hasn't been cold enough to wear it), but I'll take a picture when I do.
Edited to add:

Yesterday I patched together a bunch of pieces of fabric I had left over, and I turned it into a summery shirt (using a pillowcase dress idea). I really like how it turned out.

Cute stuff!!! I love that brown fabric on Lucy's shirt! Is that Michael Miller?
Nope! Joel Dewberry. ;) Just looked it up. I might have to get some of that to make a camera strap with!
So cute Katie! I LOVE both of them, you are getting so good at making clothes for your little cutie! I love the sweet look on Lucy's face!
Katie--these are so cute!! You are doing so good to stay motivated to keep sewing!! I start with the best intentions, and then get annoyed that my sewing machine is on the dining room table, or that I need this color thread, or....
Nice job!!
Sara - I get really annoyed about having all the sewing stuff "out," too. I'm pretty good about at least putting the sewing machine away at the end of the day, but I'll admit I have a pile of fabric in the corner of our dining room area.... :)
